As a way of highlighting the best of the best in the gaming industry, the International Gaming Awards (IGA) started four years ago to provide both the sector and consumers a look at companies who were making positive changes. And now it has been revealed that 2012 will note the fifth consecutive awards, with the event taking place at London?s Sheraton Park Lane Hotel on January 23rd. Bringing professionals from all over the world together to celebrate the gaming industry, the IGA include both online and real world casino operations, offering gamblers the ideal place to find which companies really are going from strength to strength.
Online Gambling Categories
For those in the online gambling sector, the 2012 categories will be of great interest as companies look to make their nominations before the October 18th closing date. iGaming Software Supplier, won this year by Playtech, will highlight firms which have shown originality, innovation and competitiveness in the software which has been offered to online casino operators. Meanwhile, Mobile Operator of the Year will focus on the integration, access, reliability and simplicity of platforms, whilst the Socially Responsible Operator of the Year Online award will be of particular importance as it highlights companies who have customer support, safeguards and safety procedures in place to help consumers.
Online Casino Operator of the Year
One of the most anticipated categories will be that of Online Casino Operator of the Year. The winner of this group will be of particular interest to online gamblers around the world who want to know that they?re playing in a safe, competitive and innovative establishment. Looking back over the past year, the IGA team of experts will asses casinos marketing, brand identity, game variety, consumer interface and payment processing. PartyGaming received this year?s award, and with similar categories including Online Poker Operator of the Year, Online Bingo Operator of the Year and Online Sportsbook Operator of the Year, winners of these awards can expect to note increased demand from customers.

As the gambling industry gets set for some of the most important awards in the yearly calendar, the IGA also revealed that they will be highlighting and donating towards Care International and Children with Leukemia. And whilst the January 2012 awards will highlight prestigious companies around the world, they also look to give something back to those in need.
