Specialized Alternatives for Families and Youth (SAFY) is a leading national nonprofit organization providing a full continuum of services for youth in the child welfare and juvenile justice systems.SAFY's comprehensive services include treatment foster care, adoption, emergency and runaway services, mental health services, in-home services, independent living, developmental disability services, juvenile offender programs, aftercare, special medical services and teen parent programs.

Our Montgomery division is searching for a full time Treatment Director.This position is responsible for the treatment and quality of care for all clients in place of the designated division(s). This is accomplished by the following: Supervision of a team of clinical and non-clinical staff. Assigns performance goals to staff under supervision. Establishes or complies with established monitoring and evaluation criteria for staff performance that focuses upon the delivery of quality services to all clients in place. Supervise treatment plan development and reviews. Performs utilization review function no less than quarterly. Responsible for the training of staff under supervision.Thoroughly review and approve all treatment foster home certifications and recertifications. May carry a youth caseload when necessitated.Responsible for the quality of all youth files and establishes a routine schedule for performing routine file audits with the appropriate FYS. Coordinate with Quality Improvement staff to ensure quality of all client and foster parent files. Assigns on call rotation among staff to assure twenty-four (24) hour, seven (7) day a week coverage of the division and provides supervisory backup.


Master's degree from an accredited college or university in the behavioral science field is required. Minimum of two years supervised experience providing counseling required. Minimum of three years experience in the field of social work in a child welfare environment.Must possess and maintain the appropriate highest level of licensure (LGSW/LPCC/LCSW). This is a management level position that requires the ability to prioritize work and that of those supervised, to manage staff and resolve problems through effective decision making.
